A very interesting movie, Harry Potter. Actually, I just watched it yesterday at SM Clark. For another time Harry Potter proved once again why a lot of people are fascinated and even crazy about Harry Potter. Personally, before I was not really interested to this movie. I thought it was all boring and fiction. Well after watching it, I must also agree that Harry Potter is really one of a kind. Not just because of the effects, that is really nerve cracking but the story itself. Because of this movie it gives the positive perspective about withces, that “WITHCES” are not just the wicked ones that we knew. For me the best scene would be my favorite scene would be the Yule Ball. The amount of work they put into the background and props was amazing. When the camera came in through the doorway and took a full widescreen shot of the room. . My jaw dropped; like WOW! However, the poor scene for me was is that Gambon, who took over when Richard Harris passed away, has never really connected with Radcliffe. As a result, the pupil/mentor relationship between Harry and Dumbledore seems distant and amorphous. The final showdown with Harry and the wizard is unforgivably bungled, as Harry’s courage is held in check in the most contrived way.
Summing it all, the story was about; Snape is the new Defense against Dark Arts teacher. The new teacher at Hogwarts, Horace Slughorn, teaches Potions (Snape's old subject).
The Half Blood Prince is a name found in a used advanced potions book Harry uses that gives helpful potions tips and spells, one of which is extremely dangerous. The Half-Blood Prince turns out to be Severus Snape. Half-Blood refers to the fact that his father was a muggle (Tobias Snape) but the Prince part refers to his mother's maiden name (Eileen Prince).
Harry rightly suspects Draco Malfoy of being a Death Eater. Draco manages to sneak Death Eaters into Hogwarts using a pair of vanishing cabinets. Draco was supposed to kill Dumbledore, but finds himself unable to.
Dumbledore and Harry explore Voldemort's past, learning about Horcruxes, which are divisions of Voldemort's soul, making him immortal until they are all destroyed. There are Seven pieces of his soul (two already destroyed) including the one in Voldemort. Harry and Dumbledore try to get one, but the aftermath leaves Dumbledore weak and unable to fight off the Death Eaters.
It turns out the Death Eater that overheard the prophecy and told it to Voldemort (leading to Harry's parents' deaths) was Severus Snape. Snape turns up after Draco cannot kill Dumbledore and kills Dumbledore. Draco, Snape, and the Death Eaters escape afterwards. Hogwarts is probably going to be closed but Harry announces he won't be returning anyway; he will attempt to finish the work he a Dumbledore started, destroying Horcruxes so Voldemort can be destroyed.
Relationships (if you're into that): Harry Potter ends up dating Ginny Weasley, it appears that Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger get together, Bill Weasley and Fleur are going to get married, and Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks are also together.
I guess this movie are fitted for people aging 15 and above. The reason why I said so, firstly because of the language itself. Somehow it is quite hard to understand secondly, is because you need to focus well because of its really tricky. Every scene is puzzled and connected at the end of the movie.

Harry Potter (Lopez)
REACTION PAPER
HARRY POTTER and the HALF-BLOOD PRINCE
Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince is a science- fiction fantasy based from a novel of J.K Rowling. It is the sixth sequel movie of Harry Potter and directed by David Yates.
Last August 05, 2009 at SM City Clark cinema 1, we had watched Harry Potter. As expected, the movie has its full cast of characters, Daniel Radcliffe as (Harry Potter) which is totally grown up with his more matured role. Emma Watson (Hermione Gran ger) very charming in the big screen. Rupert Grint(Ron Weasley)considered as my best character in the film- because he portrays his role very well, acts well during ing quidditch game. Ron Weasley was very amusing and funny. Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley)very quiet lady,in which harry definitely fall for and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) always very eager to put Harry out of school of Hogwarts. Furthermore, the the professors of Hogwarts are still very supportive with the students like Dumbledore (Michael Gambon), Prof.Mcgonagall (Maggie Smith), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid).Allan Rickman(Prof.Snape) the Half-blood prince and lastly Jim Broadbent (Prof.Slughorn) the new potion teacher of Hogwarts.
For me, the best scene would be in quidditch game wherein you can really feel the thrill, although it does not used many effects, still it makes the viewer excite. Like me, I feel that I want to stand on my sit. On the other hand, Harry Potter6 has many poor scenes, as I’ve observed those scenes include many discussions with Harry and Prof.Dumbledore.Harry Potter 6 has fewer fights compare to last five sequels which make it boring.
Effects used are state of the art yet it is oddly wispy, it does not actually highlight the main scenes. Dialogues are clearly delivered but uneasy to understand because of its British accent’s an outcome, the viewer will not get interested at all.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was rated GP although it has scary scenes and images, some violent languages and mild sensuality but can be watched by any ages. The MTRCB should think twice about it.
Harry Potter and the half-blood prince is a sequel that even his ardent fan can be quickly forgotten.

Harry Potter (Paradeza)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Date Watched: August 05, 2009
MTRCB Rating: GP or General patronage. All ages admitted.
Characters:
Daniel Radcliffe - Harry Potter
Emma Watson - Hermione Granger
Rupert Grint - Ron Weasley
Michael Gambon – Dumbledore
Tom Riddle - Voldemort
Tom Felton - Draco Malfoy
Jim Broadbent - Professor Horace Slughorn
Outlook
“The point missed here is that this movie is a disappointments but not a complete piece of trash. It was entertaining, but it did not treat the story well, placing far too much importance on the sub-plots and not paying nearly enough attention to the main plot lines. The lack of dealing with how the attacks on the Muggle population were handled, the political tension related to Vodemorts return, etc was just shameful. In addition, even the major plot themes that WERE visited were treated almost dismissively, such as the identity of the Half Blood Prince and of course Dumbledore's death and funeral, which in the book were completely different and the most moving part of the story. In this film, they are treated as parallels, as snippets of information worthy only of a "by the way". This film chose to leave in the less important scenes and take out the more important. That is why it is the biggest failure thus far of this series. Here's hoping they do better with the final two parts.”
“People keep saying that you need to have read the book to properly understand the film. That's bad filmmaking. So this is not a film in itself, but rather, a visual aid to the book?
The books were done exceedingly well and the mistake is made to visualize as much as possible from the book into the screen, rather than analyzing key plot points and cutting out 80% of the chaff as necessary in a movie of books of this epic proportions. Those that have not read the books are left in the dark as to what the rules are in this magical world and without a frame of reference, there's no way to know who's winning or who's losing.
“The film spent too much time on the tangled love lives of the young characters where it could have instead have explained some more about the 'Half-blood Prince' and it's relevance to Harry and the plot or at least about Horcruxes.
If I hadn't read the books I would have been spewing questions such as 'what does the Half-blood prince have to do with anything? Why make it the title with so little relevance to the story? Why should I care that Snape is the half blood prince?'

Harry Potter (Gueco)

Mr. and Mrs. Weasley - Ron’s parents, members of the Order of the Phoenix.
Katie Bell - is cursed by a necklace given to her in the bathroom of the Three Broomsticks.
Romilda Vane - A classmate of Harry’s who pursues a romantic interest in him.
Outlook of the Movie:
The Harry Potter films were known for their impressive special effects, great characters & engrossing storyline. The latest addition to the genre defining franchise was good, but fell down a few notches from the rest.
The overall feel of the film is somewhat lacking because of being incomplete. The story left rushed. The supposed climax of the movie didn’t give much that impact and coupled with bad lines, wasn’t as climatic as I thought. Emphasis should have been given to these points as they are parts that should rouse the audience. That effect sadly wasn’t achieved.
The Special effects where as usual, excellent. Everything is fluid and believable. One scene in particular seemed to push the bounds of the technology, the bridge scene. It felt realistic.
In summarization the movie was good but not brilliant. Mediacie would be the right term it tries to capture your attention but even with superb graphics and familiar characters, it fails to cast that “Harry Potter Magic”.

Romilda Vane - A classmate of Harry’s who pursues a romantic interest in him.
BEST SCENES:
When Harry and Dumbledore joined forces to fight Voldemort.
POOR SCENE: When Dumbledore died because of fighting with Voldemort and because they didn’t won to kill the evils.
BEST CHARACTERS:
Dumbledore: Because of the Braveness that he did in the story and also because of the extraordinarily wise, trustful, and extremely powerful wizard.
EFFECTS:
For me it is more on Magical Effects and slightly scary.
STORY (PLOT):
Harry receives a used magical textbook that belonged to someone named “The Half-Blood Prince.” Spells and amendments are written in the book, and Harry uses the Prince notes to know more of magic. Dumbledore schedules regular meetings with Harry in which they use Dumbledore’s thought to look at memories of those who have a contact with Voldemort. Dumbledore believes that if Harry can learn enough about Voldemort’s history, it will help him when they finally fight face to face, as the prophecy concerning Harry foretells. Harry learns about Voldemort’s family, including his grandfather Marvolo, his uncle Morfin, and his mother Merope, who cast a love spell on a Muggle and was abandoned by him. Voldemort was left at an orphanage and grew to be an unpleasant and aggressive boy. Harry also learns that Voldemort has divided his soul into seven Horcruxes. Two of these, Tom Riddle’s diary and Marvolo’s ring, have already been destroyed. One resides in Voldemort, one resides in a snake, one is Merope’s locket, and the other two are suspected to be hidden in objects belonging to Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Gryffindor. Harry tried to find Draco but when he didn’t see him Harry realizes that if he didn’t see Draco on the map he could see him on the book of requirements on the seventh floor of the Hogwart and Harry tries his best to get in to Draco. Harry and Dumbledore rush toward the tower. When they arrive, Dumbledore uses his magic to freeze Harry in place, while Harry remains freeze. Draco Malfoy went into the room, threatening Dumbledore’s life. Dumbledore stalls Draco, telling him that he is not a killer and that the Order of the Phoenix could protect him and his mother from Voldemort. While they are fighting Harry cannot move or speak, but he hears the fighting Death Eaters below. Draco raises his wand and kills Dumbledore. When Dumbledore dies, his spell on Harry is broken, and Harry rushes after the spell is gone determined to avenge the death of his friend and headmaster. The evil escapes, and Harry is devastated. He looks at the locket he and Dumbledore retrieved and realizes that it is not a Horcrux. Harry tells his friends he will not be returning to Hogwarts next year and will instead search out and kill Voldemort by destroying all of the Horcruxes. Ron and Hermione vow to join him.
AGE FIT: For me the age fitted to the film is 12 years old and up, for them to really understand the whole story of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince because sometimes the words are hard to understand.
